Sailz Lake Hawea Restaurant and Bar, upstairs above the General Store, at the top of the hill overlooking the lake and mountains, provides a cosy ambience for locals and visitors alike.

The meals focus on New Zealand, fresh, created with the flair of our French chef. Most components of Sailz dishes, and all sauces are made on site .
Blue cod, seafood chowder, and steak have long held an excellent reputation. Sailz mussels, on both the lunch and evening menu, are sought after by the many overseas hunters who call for a late lunch after a day on the hill, or an evening entree before a steak, or venison meal. Desserts, including tarte tartin and cheesecake, are all made at Sailz.
Along with the main menu, our pizza menu is popular among the winter ski crowd. The lunch menu has a range of burgers, salads, soups, and brunch items.
The Bar has local Brewski, cider and 4 mainstream beers on tap, a further range of craft bottle beer and a comprehensive selection of wines, both Central Otago and afar, along with the expected range of spirits and top shelf.
