It’s frustrating enough losing your phone or device at home, but when you are on the road it can be more than just an inconvenience if you have an emergency.

Before you tear your caravan to shreds looking for it, here are a couple of ways to find your lost device:

  • Android devices can now be located using Google’s Android Device Manager. As long as you have a Google account, you can log in to the Device Manager website or app. You can then determine your device’s last location, make it ring, or locate it on a map, as well as lock or sign out of the device. To use the Android Device Manager website, just go to www.google.com/android/devicemanager or download the app from the Google Play Store.
  • To locate an iPhone or iPad, you can use Apple’s iCloud website or use the Find My iPhone app. As with Android devices, once you are signed in at www.icloud.com you can lock your screen, display a message on your device, or track its location. For more information just go to www.apple.com/au/icloud/find-my-iphone.html.
