The Ceduna Crab Competition is held annually during the blue swimmer crab season. This year’s competition kicked off on New Year’s Day and finishes up on Easter Monday (17 April).
Once you’ve landed your catch, all you need to do is bring your biggest crab to the Ceduna Visitor Information Centre, along with your completed registration form (available from
Ceduna Shelley Beach Caravan Park) and $5 registration fee. Your crab will be measured across the carapace with digital calipers.
There are weekly adult and junior prizes up for grabs, as well as the grand prizes in each category at the end of the competition.
Grand Prize (Adult) – 370 Dart Qunitrex tinny on a quality Dunbier trailer with a Yamaha 15 horsepower outboard, inshore safety gear included, registration on both the boat and trailer
