The WayWood philosophy is simple, nurturing individual parcels of fruit to produce wines that truly express site, vintage and variety.
Since the conception of WayWood Wines, our dream has been offer people the opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle we enjoy in McLaren Vale , as well as provide an intimate environment to share and enjoy our unique wines and the stories behind them with friends, family and guests.
Our wine making has been focused on Mediterranean varieties as well as the classics. With the purchase of a 12 acre vineyard in 2015 our attention has shifted to single site wines of Shiraz and Carignan, in addition with our traditional core varieties as vintages shine.
Private tastings are available by appointment, although our wines are available in the communal cellar door, Vale Cru Wine Experience hosted in the McLaren Vale Visitor Centre, open 7 days a week.
We also offer accommodation on site, there is a 3 bedroom house and self contained studio, both recently renovated offering the modern traveler an excellent base to enjoy the Vale has.
Both kitchens also have all the creature comforts of home and enjoy the outdoor areas and extensive views over the vineyards and hills.
