The Quarterdeck Narooma

Attractions

The Narooma Quarterdeck is situated in Forsters Bay on the shores of the Wagonga Inlet. This foreshore has a rich history and has been classified as a precinct of historical significance. A commercial salmon cannery operated for a time nearby but the boatsheds that line the bay have had many uses. Where the Quarterdeck stands was originally an oyster growers shed and then converted to a kiosk. A long jetty and hire boats for holiday makers were added over time.

When Chris and Robyn bought the business in 2001 it was a fish and chip takeaway with hire boats and a tackle shop. The Quarterdeck has evolved over the last 15 years into its present character. The decor includes family memorabilia from customers, as well as nautical and Tiki items that add to the ambience of the old boat shed. Regulars often buy Hawaiian shirts on their overseas travels to add to Chris’ collection of over 200! He wears a different one every day.

Due to current health advice on social distancing, please contact the business for the most up to date information regarding opening times and services.
