Red Hill Estate

Attractions

In 1989 Red Hill Estate commenced producing some of the finest wines from the Mornington Peninsula, and the brand is now synonymous with the very best wines from Australia’s very best Cool Climate wine regions.

Red Hill Estate was established by the late Australian businessman, Sir Peter Derham. As a pioneer of sparkling wine on the Mornington Peninsula Sir Peter brought a clear vision of what he wanted to achieve under the Red Hill Estate brand.

Fruit for the flagship wines is now sourced from nearby Merricks Grove Vineyard, situated just a short distance from their Cellar Door on the south eastern hills of the Mornington Peninsula. Established in 1998 the vineyard has flourished and is now mature, quality producing and of high repute.

The wines across the diverse range are exceptional, with grapes sourced from Cool Climate wine regions where different cool climates mix with volcanic and sedimentary soils to create wines that are wonderfully textured, complex and elegantly understated and they regard themselves as Cool Climate wine specialists, producing wines that are worthy of the Red Hill Estate label.

Adjoining the cellar door, Max’s Restaurant offers an award-winning modern Australian menu, showcasing the best regional produce. Dishes are designed to perfectly complement the fabulous range of Red Hill Estate wines.
