Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant

Attractions

Mount Lofty House was built in 1852 for Arthur Hardy. It was his summer residence, but it also became a venue for the most lavish parties, where Arthur would take great delight in hosting Adelaide’s high society. Today, the space has been transformed into Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant – true to the refinement, elegance and opulence the guests of Arthur Hardy enjoyed 165 years ago.

With people flocking to the area in search of the best restaurants in Adelaide Hills, our restaurant, which overlooks the patchwork Piccadilly Valley, offers diners magnificent views accompanied by either our short and long story tasting menus.

Our sommeliers provide their wine matching services to provide the perfect complement to your dining experience, allowing you to experience both the flavours we create and the tastes of the wineries which surround restaurants in the Adelaide Hills. Delve into the timeless dining experience which saw HVR awarded ‘Best Restaurant’ in the recent AHA Awards, 3 Chef Hats and #2 in South Australia by the Australian Good Food Guide.

HVR is open seven days from 6pm for our ‘short story’ alacarte menu or ‘long story’ degustation menu. Our restaurant is open from 12pm Saturday and Sunday lunch.

Due to current health advice on social distancing, please contact the business for the most up to date information regarding opening times and services.
