Fagan Park

Attractions

Fagan Park is an area of about 55 hectares on Arcadia Road at Galston. The site was donated by the Fagan family to the Department of Lands with Hornsby Shire Council appointed as sole trustee for the park.

The park was adopted as Council’s bicentennial project and was officially opened in November, 1988.

There are so many things to do in Fagan Park such as a privately-run cafe service selling coffee and refreshments; Gardens of Many Nations (10 hectares of gardens); picnic and barbecue; Netherby Cottage – the original Fagan family homestead; rural museums; children’s playgrounds; bushland with short bushwalking trail; large open areas for informal games and kite flying; unsealed paths for bicycle riding; Arcadia Road (one large picnic shelter) and Carrs Road (three large picnic shelters) picnic areas; many small picnic shelters scattered throughout the park; eco garden – an educational, productive and sustainable garden.
