We are very excited to welcome our newest member of the family; Harbourside Holiday Park in Whitianga, North Island!
Harbourside Holiday Park is directly opposite the harbour on the main street of Whitianga. The little sandy beach across from the camp is a good place to launch a kayak or take the children to explore the estuary at low tide. With the town centre just 450 metres along the road, you can leave your car at the campground and stroll to the cafes and shops. This small holiday park is ideal for families and provides a safe, relaxing environment in which to enjoy yourself.
Harbourside offers a range of budget accommodation, as well as powered and unpowered sites, with beautiful mature trees providing shade. All guests have access to the park’s numerous facilities, including the outdoor swimming pool, TV room, boat wash, fish cleaning area, and small adventure playground, laundry, clean amenities. Meals can be prepared in the communal kitchen or on the push-button BBQs and enjoyed in indoor or outdoor dining areas. The brand new camp shop sells espressos with local coffee brand LaLa, plus yummy Tip Top ice creams and iceblocks.

As the main town on Mercury Bay, Whitianga has plenty of nearby beaches with safe swimming, with Buffalo Beach right on your doorstep. Further afield, Cathedral Cove is one of the most picturesque spots in the Coromandel and a must-see spot on your holiday. The historic town of Coromandel can be reached via the beaches or through the 309 Road in less than an hour.
Seafood lovers should head to Whitianga in September for the town’s annual Scallop Festival, with guest chefs and dozens of stalls selling the best local food.
