Yia Nuka Aboriginal Cultural Experience

Attractions

Yia Nuka Aboriginal Cultural Experience, is an interactive Indigenous cultural tour, based 18kms West of Alice Springs, in Central Australia. Providing a unique opportunity for authentic cultural engagement, it offers a personal insight into Aboriginal culture.

Yia Nuka means… My Story.

Visitors engage in an intimate conversation with Kathleen Buzzacott, an internationally renowned Aboriginal artist, designer, poet and entrepreneur, of Pitajantjatjara, Scottish and English heritage.

Kathleen and her family invite to you to their home and art studio. Situated on Arrernte Native Title Homeland, this is a rare opportunity not usually available to the public without a permit.

Join her as she reveals her life story with humour and honesty, sharing the intimacies of her family and their connection to each other. A hands-on workshop allows you to learn the art of seed bracelet making- an experience not to be missed!

From the air-conditioned comfort of Kathleen’s beautifully appointed art studio, you’ll marvel at the stunning views of the West MacDonnell Ranges and… don’t forget to check out the International Award Winning toilets, while you’re there!

Due to current health advice on social distancing, please contact the business for the most up to date information regarding opening times and services.
