O’Leary Walker purchased the former Johnston Wines site in July 2015. This heritage listed site will captivate those interested in the brewing history of the Adelaide Hills. The former Stables house the tastefully designed Cellar Door and for those with a discerning eye, snippets of its history are marked into the exposed beams of this beautiful space as well as the outer buildings of the former Brewery.
For David O’Leary there is a strong connection to this site. Both his Grandfather and Father were involved in the former Johnston businesses and David himself grew up in Oakbank.
As the weather warms visitors can enjoy the history of the outer buildings, sampling the wines and enjoying one of our cheese plates in the grounds of this historic site.
