The team at Crystal Brook Tourist Park in Doncaster East, Melbourne, have been hard at work building an off-leash area for guests travelling with dogs. The official launch was on Saturday, 11 February, and there was plenty of celebration with a jumping castle, raffles, a sausage sizzle and a “dog bakery”.
The team also used the event to raise much needed money for Pyrenees Animal Rescue, a Victorian based group that helps abandoned pooches find loving homes. You can read Australian Dog Lover’s write-up on the event here.
Whether or not you’re travelling with your furry friend, Crystal Brook Tourist Park is well worth a visit. Only 35 minutes from the inner city of Melbourne yet surrounded by beautiful bushland and amazing birdlife, it has the best of both worlds!
